Support for Survivors of Sexual Abuse and Assault

After a sexual assault, it’s normal to have many (and sometimes conflicting), responses. These reactions are not signs that something is wrong with you. They are your body and mind doing everything they can to protect you (even if it doesn’t seem that way at first glance).

Our work begins by creating enough safety and trust that you feel able to explore your emotions with me. Which will take time. You might initially come to therapy without telling me this is something you’ve been through, and that’s ok. Healing takes time, and we will move at a pace that feels aligned with where you are and what you feel ready for.

Together, we’ll focus on understanding your symptoms with compassion, supporting emotional regulation, and strengthening a sense of safety in the present moment. When enough stability and internal support are in place, we may gently work toward processing and integrating traumatic memories so they feel less intrusive and overwhelming. This process is collaborative, consent based, and always guided by what feels safest for you.
